Lebanon is the scene of an ever-growing economic crisis that has exacerbated pre-existing development constraints, humanitarian needs and livelihood opportunities. The UN estimates that “78 percent of the Lebanese live below the poverty line – some three million people – with 36 percent of the population living in extreme poverty.” The continuous failure of the state on multiple levels, prompted us to attempt to fill the gaps by seeking social change and improvement on social grounds to serve and meet the needs of the community.

LSR’s mission is to:

1. Ensure protection and provide assistance to vulnerable populations through sustainable solutions.

2. Contribute to developing society through advocating, supporting and empowering its youth.

3. Enhance national and local capacities by empowering them to create lasting change in their own lives and communities.
