Who We Are
Where youth rise,
serve, and build a stronger community together
Who we are?
Founded in 2015, Lebanese Social Responsibility (LSR) is a non-political, non-confessional, youth-led organization working to support vulnerable communities across Lebanon through humanitarian assistance, protection, education, and community resilience programs.
Over the years, LSR has evolved from a volunteer initiative into a locally rooted humanitarian organization with strong operational capacity, responding to the growing social, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing Lebanon.
LSR operates primarily in Mount Lebanon (Jbeil District), with an active presence in North Lebanon (Tripoli) and South Lebanon (Marjaayoun), implementing programs in close coordination with local authorities, community structures, and national and international partners.
Today, LSR delivers integrated, multi-sectoral interventions focused on:
Food Security & Agriculture, including community kitchens, food assistance, and support to local farmers and cooperatives
Protection, with a focus on women, children, GBV risk mitigation, and psychosocial support
Education & Youth Empowerment, through access to education, awareness sessions, and youth engagement
Livelihoods & Community Support, promoting dignity, resilience, and local ownership
LSR’s work is needs-driven, shaped by continuous community assessments, and implemented in line with humanitarian principles, accountability to affected populations, and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
With a strong base of trained staff and active volunteers, LSR partners with municipalities, UN agencies, and national and international NGOs to deliver safe, accountable, and community-centered assistance, while maintaining a long-term vision for recovery, resilience, and youth leadership in Lebanon.
