Who We Are
Where youth rise,
serve, and build a stronger community together
Who we are?
Founded in 2015, LSR is a non-political, non-confessional organization committed to empowering youth and promoting social responsibility among all Lebanese citizens. Our vision is a healthy, productive, and engaged community driven by youth empowered to create a positive future.
Operating mainly in Mount Lebanon (Jbeil District) and based in both Mount Lebanon and Beirut, LSR is a volunteer-based initiative that supports local entities (municipalities, public and private institutions) and strengthens youth involvement through social, cultural, educational, and ecological activities. Our Amchit office includes a child-friendly outdoor space and an indoor hub for youth to meet, study, and collaborate.
LSR’s work spans local development, education, protection, and community support, continuously shaped by assessing community needs. Our efforts include distributing food, clothing, medical and hygiene aid; leading youth-driven events (sports, ecotourism, clean-ups, afforestation, capacity-building); and providing psychosocial support and awareness sessions in collaboration with national and international NGOs and institutions.
With 160 active volunteers, LSR also offers technical expertise and human resources to partners such as AFEL, Caritas Jbeil, UN Environment Programme, HEED, and the municipalities of Jbeil and Amchit.
In May 2023, LSR became a member of the Arab Voluntary Union.
